Micro Optical Solutions- Fully integrated Fish Ageing System for scales, otoliths, finray and opercula and daily rings

Our fully integrated system with the computer includes an optical zoom with repeatable detent magnification settings, with multiple front lenses for various zoom magnification ranges. Visual field of view ranges from 0.5x lens 56 to 4.5 mm, 1.0x lens 28 to 2.2 mm, and 2.0x lens 14 to 1.1 mm, 20x objective 1.4 mm to 0.11 mm.

Infinity 8-2M Monochrome USB3 high-resolution camera is used to capture images using the Media Cybernetics Image Pro 11 image analysis software. This software gives users the ability to detect and mark aging banding with caliper lines, with a distance of markers from the origin, then export data to an Excel spreadsheet glass calibration slide is provided with both inch and metric divisions.

The customized transmitted light stand offers a white LED light source with a focusable condenser. The transmitted light XY stage provides 4 x 4 inches of travel. The transmitted light mirror can be tilted to various angles and moved to create vertical or oblique illumination of scale. A special film in the transmitted light path enhances the contrast of objects.

The additional oblique side illumination for opaque objects as otoliths, is provided with the same white LED light source, and a multi-jointed arm holding the fiberoptic so that the angle of incidence to the object can be critically adjusted and then locked in place.

The fully integrated Windows 10 or 11 computer with 22-inch LCD monitor includes how-to video tutorials, full Microsoft Office, and video recording software to document the aging measurement process.
